Guinea fowl and turkeys are popular with South African farmers for meat, eggs and pest control. Our automatic incubators hatch both, with the steady conditions their longer incubation needs.

Guinea fowl eggs hatch in about 26–28 days. They have hard, thick shells and are smaller than chicken eggs. Incubate at about 37.5 °C with humidity around 50–55 %, then raise it to 65–70 % from lockdown. Keets are small and fast, so keep the incubator closed until they are dry.
Turkey eggs hatch in about 28 days. They are larger than chicken eggs, so each machine holds fewer of them. Incubate at about 37.5 °C with humidity around 50–55 %, then 65–75 % at lockdown. Tell us how many turkey eggs you plan to set and we will recommend a size.
Because guinea fowl and turkey eggs take a week longer than chicken eggs, you get fewer batches a year from one machine. If you also hatch chickens, consider running them in separate machines so the lockdown days do not clash. Use the hatch date calculator to plan.
